Install Microsoft Teams for your organization


This article guides Admins on how to install our Microsoft Teams app for your organization through the Microsoft Teams admin center. 

NOTE: Only Culture Amp customers using our US Data Center (our default data center) are able to sign in to Culture Amp app for Teams. We will look to launch an EU version of our Microsoft Teams app for our EU Data Center customers in the near future. 

App Permissions

As an Admin, you can either allow or disallow the app for all users in their Teams account. You can also set up custom rules to allow/disallow apps for specific users/groups of users.  

To enable Culture Amp app for all users in your organization 

  1. Login to the Microsoft Teams admin center. 
  2. Click Teams apps > Manage apps
  3. Click “Org-wide app settings” in the top right hand corner. 
  4. Ensure “Allow third party apps” is enabled. You can also enable “Allow any new third-party apps published…” if you want. 
  5. Voila! Users in your organization can now install Culture Amp as well as other third party apps in Microsoft Teams.

If you only wish to enable certain third party apps, such as Culture Amp:

  1. Login to the Microsoft Teams admin center. 
  2. Click Teams apps > Permission policies
  3. Click on your global app permission policy. It will be called something like “Global (Org-wide default)”
  4. Click “Allow specific apps and block all others” 
  5. Click “Allow apps” and search for Culture Amp in the right-hand panel.

App setup

As an Admin of Microsoft Teams, you can add Culture Amp as a default app for all of your employees. 

Users still have the option to uninstall or install the app themselves. 

How to pin apps 

Admin can allow or disallow users in their organisation to pin apps to the left hand navigation. Admin can also pin apps by default on a global or group level.

NOTE: To encourage maximum engagement and collaboration through the Culture Amp app, we recommend you install as a default app for your organization. We also strongly encourage you to pin the app so your organization can give developmental feedback more easily. 

To pin Culture Amp app for all users in your organization 

  1. Login to the Microsoft Teams admin center. 
  2. Click Teams apps > Setup policies
  3. Click “Add apps” and search for Culture Amp in the right-hand panel.
  4. Click “Add” to add Culture Amp to your organization's pinned apps. 
  5. Optional - Enable “Allow user pinning” so users can control what they pin on the left panel of MS Teams.
